About Me

I’m an Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University. My research focuses on public opinion and political psychology, with an emphasis on moral psychology. For example, I examine questions such as what causes someone to see an issue as a moral issue, how moralization affects political behavior, and the consequences of politicians’ use of moral rhetoric. In addition to my substantive work, I am interested in best practices in survey and experimental design, such as how to improve our measures of important political concepts and how to design more efficient and effective experiments.
